Laura Chant, 16, lives with her mother and four-year-old brother Jacko in a poor new suburb next to a partially demolished church in New Zealand. Laura is immersed in a supernatural battle with an ancient spirit that attacks Jacko and slowly takes away his life as the spirit becomes younger and younger. Laura discovers her true identity and supernatural ability within her, and must take advantage of it to save her brother’s life.
