Mortal Engines plays for many thousands of years in the future. The cities of the world are moving on giant wheels and the populations of the cities are fighting war on the last raw materials on the planet. In one of those cities, Tom Natsworthy meets a mysterious young woman from the countries outside the city, who will change his life forever.
