In a small colony on an asteroid, few workers are aware that the local drunkard was once more than just an interplanetary bum. However, when a fissure breaks open in the home of a horde of killer insects, his true identity comes to light. The drunk is actually space adventurer Adam Strange, whose story is presented through flashbacks as he tries to save people who have laughed at him for so long.
