It tells the story of Saúl Armendáriz, a gay amateur wrestler from El Paso who rises to global fame after creating the character of Cassandro, the “Liberace of Lucha Libre.” In the process, he not only radically upends the traditionally masculine world of wrestling, but also his own life.
