Zootropolis 2
Judy Hopps, the bunny, and Nick Wilde, the fox, are back in action! These rookie cops in Zootopia have stumbled upon a big mystery. A new guy in town, a snake called Gary De’ Snake, has everyone’s heads spinning. To crack the case, Judy and Nick have to go undercover all over the city, testing their friendship like never before.
This is the second adventure for our favorite duo after they cracked Zootopia’s biggest case years ago and even won some fancy awards for it. The world has changed a bit since then (CGI animation is way cooler now), but don’t worry—the humor and heart are still there!
With Jared Bush writing and Byron Howard directing—both Disney pros who know how to tell a good story—this movie ups the ante with more complex stories that kids will still get a kick out of. And yes, there are tons of new characters this time around. There’s Gary De’ Snake and even a beaver named Nibbles Maplestick among 178 different animal characters! One scene alone has 50,000 animals; it’s like something from an epic Hollywood blockbuster!
And for those older folks watching along with the kids? Plenty of nods to other movies that’ll make them smile too. So gear up—Judy and Nick’s latest adventure is wild!
Hey, this movie is like a visual party that’s going to be hard for anyone to resist! It’s packed with overlapping scenes and layers that make for a fun viewing experience. There’s so much happening at once, like how they cleverly renamed Google as “Zoogle,” and made the video platform “EweTube” where you catch all of Nibbles Maplestick’s wild videos.
The film’s full of jokes and little puns. Some of it is as simple as an animal talking about feeling the weight on their shoulders and then realizing they don’t even have shoulders! The characters bring out their quirks in such a human-like way. Take Mayor Brian Winddancer, for instance—he’s got this super cool mane that looks like it’s bleached blonde, kinda copying real-life celebs.
A big theme here seems to be the tug-of-war between following your instincts or thinking things through—and it doesn’t just go for animals but humans too. When someone says you can be different, some of these creatures are like, “Eh, I’m good,” sticking to what feels right to them even if it isn’t easy.
If you’ve seen Zootopia’s first part, you’ll remember places like Sahara Square and Tundratown. But now they’ve added Lynxley Manor too! This place is central for the grand Zootenario Gala—should be quite something seeing all this come together in one flick!
In “Swamp Market,” the storytellers get creative, working with all sorts of animals that live partly on land and in water. The funny scenes in the movie are a blast, especially when Police Chief Captain Bogo makes the bunny and the fox go to group therapy. They call it “Partners in Crisis,” and Dr. Fuzzby runs it; he’s one of the fresh faces this time around. And keep your ears open for Gazelle, the pop star character voiced by Shakira—there’s a catchy song during the credits too! This sequel really dives into how being different isn’t just okay, it’s what keeps things interesting. Plus, there’s that heartwarming idea that opposites can totally attract and make for some real love.
